Vietnamese Grilled Pork And Shrimp Salad Noodles Bowl- Bun Thit Tom Nuong Recipe
It’s 72 degree outside beautiful Saturday and I decided to make some simple salad bowl Vietnamese style.
This dish Bun Thit Tom Nuong is very simple to make. You can prep by marinade the meat overnight.
-Rice vermicelli noodles. I bought this brand right here:
Vietnamese Rice Stick(vermicelli) Three Ladies Brand 2lbs
-Spring mix salad and slice carrots, or you can just simple use any kind of greens for your likings.(cucumber, romaine lettuce…etc)
– 1 lbs or shirmp and 1 lbs of pork.
-Fish sauce, salt, mushroom seasoning (or chicken stocking), sugar, lime, sriracha. (You can buy any brand of fish sauce at walmart, safeway, target, or Asian grocery stores…etc)
1. Marinade the meat:
-Mix shrimp and pork to 4 tables spoon of fish sauce, 1 table spoon of sugar,1 table spoon of mushroom seasoning, 1 table spoon of cooking oil, some minced garlics and onions, black pepper. Its best if you marinade them overnight or at least 1 hour before cooking.
2. Grill the meat
-Put them on the grill. The shrimp only took around 7 minutes to cook while pork took around 20 minutes.
3. Toppings: Microwave some chopped green onions with 1 tablespoon of cooking oil for 30 seconds.
Top them on the shrimp and pork.
4. Sauce: 3 table spoon of fish sauce, 1 table spoon of sugar, 2 table spoon of water. stir them well until the sugar diluted. Squeeze half of the lime into the mix. Add some minced garlic and chopped red pepper.
4. Prepare the bowl: Noodles on the bottom, salad and meat on top. You can add some fried onions, siracha sauce on top of the bowl .
-Cold pressed cantaloupe juice..YUM!
